It's hard to fit everything we want to say to you, our supporters into a short and snappy tweet, instagram post or facebook update, there's often so much more that ends up left unsaid. Going forward, we shall endevour to make a few more indepth posts like this to keep you updated as well. Due to COVID-19 understandably work has been significantly delayed of late. However over the last few weeks there have been a few small items of progress to update.

Last weekend we were hit by some pretty high winds, which damaged the temporary cover stopping water egress down into our beautifully blasted engine room, thankfully a with minimal effort it was possible to salvage the existing cover and resecure it, and hopefully it will continue to protect the engine room for some time to come.

Since the replacement scania engines first arrived in Lowestoft there have been a few jobs we wanted to carry out on them. And today (30/01) we also managed to get some time working in the workshop in order to finish stripping down and trial fitting a new heat exchanger header tank on one of the Scanias. This work is being carried out in order to ensure that all three of our engines, including our spare are of a matching specification in order to reduce the number of spare parts we carry.

We also spent some time inspecting and cleaning several of the ball valves, fittings and ancillary pipework previously removed from the engine room. it's hoped that over the next few weeks/months to start paintwork both in the engine room and of these ancillary items so that when they all go back together the engine room will come on leaps and bounds.

Finally, away from the boat, we are happy to announce another nice little addition to our store in the form of some A3 poster prints which are now available to purchase.
